Southwestern
Vermont has much to offer and most of our guests discover that they
have to extend their stay in our area to visit the numerous shops,
theaters, attractions and historical sites. To name a few:
The Bennington
Museum is one of the finest regional art and history museums
in New England. The entire family will enjoy the collection of paintings
by Grandma Moses or the military and historical artifacts.
Directly
behind the Knotty Pine Motel is the Mount Anthony Country Club (open
to the public) with 18 of the oldest and most scenic holes of golf
in New England.
Visit
the site of Robert Frost's final resting place at the Old First
Church, or travel back country roads to the many covered bridges
in the area.
In the evening,
partake of a great meal at one of a dozen super restaurants
then take in a play at one of four area summer stock theaters.
Stroll our
tree lined streets downtown and enjoy shopping with locally owned
merchants, or browse through the Bennington Potters where pottery
is made and shipped worldwide. Wander along Route 7A on your way
to Manchester, where outlet stores from local crafts to national
brands abound.
